Space Takeaway
1st Year group project. We animated and built the game using JavaScript & HTML It was a great experience working in a team on the project as it helped me learn how people can use their resources to build a fun project. It vastly improved my teamwork & communication skills as well as learning more about HTML & JavaScript along the way.
Music Store
C based group project. This was a project where I learned a lot because we had to come up with the idea from scratch and build it to working proficiency for a lab demo with out lecturer and tutors. I learned a lot about time management while doing this project and it definitely improved my time management skills as I'm a lot more organised since this project was done in 1st year.
Short Film: Life Saver
I was part of a team who had to create a short film (around 60 seconds) with the title of "Life Saver". We worked in a team to film and edit the footage to create the film. I developed my skills in video editing, sound editing, and filming as part of this project. There was a lot of organisation & teamwork needed to successfully finish this project so I feel that my skills in both of those areas improved greatly whilst taking part in this project. Our group got the 2nd highest grade for this project also out of 12 groups graded. Below is a link to the video hosted on youtube.
Thermal Model Of A House
A thermal model of a house generated using Matlab & Simulink. It calculates the cost of heating a house given temperature data for a given time period. This project took a lot of consideration to get right as there were so many factors to consider. I think it greatly improved my planning skills and time managements skills as we had a very limited amount of time to complete the project.
The Impact of Technology on Music
A Presentation on the impact of technology on music. I gave this presentation to my classmates as part of our Professional Skills module. I think it helped my improve my confidence while speaking in public and also my communication skills.
